This Labor Day weekend, Stone Harbor, NJ plays host to the legacy of revered Master Impressionist Pierre-Auguste Renoir, when Ocean Galleries welcomes his great-grandson, Alexandre Renoir, for an exhibition of his impressionistic paintings.
“Renoir: Modern Day Impressionism” will be on display Friday, September 4 through Monday, September 7, 2015 at the Stone Harbor gallery. Meet Alexandre Renoir at receptions:
Saturday, September 5, 2015 7:00 PM to 10:00 PM
Sunday, September 6, 2015 7:00 PM to 10:00 PM
In addition to viewing his incredible artwork, guests will have a chance to witness Alexandre Renoir’s extraordinary talents as he paints during the receptions. The exhibition and the receptions are free and open to the public, with all artwork available for acquisition.
Inspired by his famous great-grandfather, Alexandre has created his own unique style of painting using impressionistic techniques. Although his collection of artwork includes several still lifes, many of Alexandre’s paintings are land and seascapes like his great-grandfather’s works. Alexandre’s impressive collection will include several new paintings created specifically for the Ocean Galleries exhibition.
Gallery hours for the exhibit are 10:00 AM until 10:00 PM on Friday, Saturday, and Sunday; and 10:00 AM until 5:00 PM on Monday.
